Never given the chance at Leigh & had made a lot of noise about being given a chance, should he have been given a shot in 2017 given how well he has played at Wakey ? Discuss.

Better teams and coaches than us didn't see him as a half back, we made many mistakes but I don't think that was one of them.

Reynolds rumoured to Wakey - enough said if that come off

Actually not enough said. Every club needs at least three halfbacks, should Hampshire sign a new contract with us he and Miller will be first choice next year.

In my view, rocky was playing under a poor coach at Leigh, so it's difficult to determine whether hb was a position he could have developed in. As for Reynolds, and Hutchy for that matter, they couldn't do half the job that riddy would've done, but that's history now.

To do exactly what? This thread is about him being a half, biggest mistake Jukes and Cunningham made in selection, putting Hampshire at FB in the million pounder, not the lads fault but he could not execute the art of linking up with the attack to make the extra man, which even McNallys biggest detractors can't accuse him of not being very adept at doing just that.

I’d take McNally over Hampshire at FB, but I’d have liked to have seen Hampshire given more of a chance in the half’s especially if we could have him with Riddy.
