Don't see an issue. It's either broken the laws of the game or not.
A tribunal may adjudicate on that. If Beaumont is correct.... no problem is there???

Agreed.

Someone has got it wrong and we can rely on the RFL to sort it out!

He didn't extend it after failing to make the top 4. The 2 year extension was announced in April, when Fev were riding high in 2nd place having already won at Leigh, and at a time when Leigh had a caretaker coach, it may even have been that MC had one eye on the situation at Leigh when extending Duffy's contract.

yes there was, according to an interview with Duffy shortly before the end of the Shield campaign. Whether that clause was one-way or not (ie did Duffy have an opt-out clause as well as Fev if the top 4 wasn't achieved) I have no idea.

GFB, Since you keep asking about it on the different forums the anouncement was here: https://www.featherstonerovers.co.uk/news/duffy-agrees-new-deal-GeFdj, but like you I wasn't party to the actual contract details so have no idea what clauses were included (i.e. it could have said only valid if making the top 4 or it is at Fev's discression if not making the top 4, etc.). However like you I don't think anything will come of any legal action.
