Anyone managed to read the interview with DB this week? I'm planning to get a copy today, but was wondering what fans thought, if they'd read it.

He’s mainly talking about creating a hybrid team of part time /full time players next season to have a go for SL again.

All depending on who is relegated and he is keeping an eye on the Salford situation.

Some talk of development but nothing of any real substance as yet.

Well the interview isn’t very clear to be honest in one breath yes he’s having another go and the next it’s dependent on who is relegated.
Either way he is willing to finance next season again, which is the main bonus.

He pre-emptied this article when giving Jack Dearden an interview live at the LSV on Radio Manchester before the match.

Thanks for the 'heads-up'. I've managed to buy a copy, out in the sticks here, and have read it. I agree with your summing up of the interview. :thumb:

I think a combination of quality part time and full pro-players is the way to go for us next season. I believe JD has shown he can gel a team and create spirit in very difficult circumstance this year, and I believe that he is exactly the type of person we need in charge with a blended pro/part time squad.
We have the foundation of a good team, a great coach and a team playing with pride and heart. A few quality additions (part time and or pro) will make us a real contender for top spot.

I watch every game on DVD (thanks Fred) but it will never beat being behind the sticks.
