Buy younger players, maybe they'll stay with the club and then start of every season wont be like Fresher's Ball (it's a dance not a raffle btw).

Only one bald player please. Too confusing.

No beards the same length.

Only one player with same surname.

Buy players with proper christian names like Albert (good enough for Goldthorpe, Tatlock and Einstein my tailors) -names that sound like Katie Price's children just don't work on a rugby field - yes Jordan and Bodene its you again..and with Katie's love of DNA its not impossible.

Buy players with rugby faces. Matty Dawson Jones was a fine example but you've just let go probably the greatest ever in Joe Cator - a fellow with a face that looks like it was made from a bit of Walt Tabern's cauliflower ear.

Buy just one Number 9 - they could all play 80 minutes if they didn't lift their hands to the sky in mock indignation at every play the ball.

Double-barelled names are now ok. Its been pointed out to me that these are not affectations but a logical way of a fellow dealing with him finding out his Dad is not is real Dad. Expect a few more.

Oh and when the season does start can all loan players have a big L on their forehead and on their back so we don't in the early days think its one of our new signings whose just taken the ball at speed, sidestepped (look it up) the opposition and scored under the posts.

Onwards and Upwards! or at the very least Sidewards.

Big mistake in letting him go. Maybe the pot that the club had, has dissolved.

Well I would take our current position over Bradford’s, so I will stay patient and trust in Monty. I have always found his info to be more reliable than most.
If it was December 1st then I would be concerned, but for now I’m all good.

VL I respect your comment. But Monty is no wiser than any of us at present. It’s a closed shop. Why? I don’t know.

Brilliant! :D At last, a set of reliable selection criteria!

You know I’ve been critical of our management, but Cator wanted to go home to a super league team.. No blame on our side at all.

I don’t disrespect Cators wishes in anyway shape or form. How the clubs shape and form is going is yet to be presented.

We’ve had an excellent season. Why not strike whilst the iron is hot? Are Leigh under special circumstances? Certainly not a marketing strategy surely!

Of course it’s a marketing strategy. We are going to create a buzz with multiple announcements when we launch the new kit, sponsors, season tickets and squad. All other clubs have made the majority of their announcements already and we are in pole position to have all the air time in the trade and local press. Good strategy in my opinion. Can only ramp up the excitement with the fans when the press releases start to happen.

Personally, I'm more on favour of the constant drip-feed of information, (about all aspects of the club, not just recruitment) to maintain interest, and profile. But there you go, we all see things differently, and who knows which is the 'right' way?

P.S. Not criticising your views C&W - I fully respect them.

Your going to get a constant drip feed of information to coincide with ST details, shirt launch etc etc- what are you expecting them to tell you about the club in October :?

Apparently we have signed Aussie prop or second rower Nick Grohe.
