If it's behind close doors why not do like Derek has suggested and get 3 games on at one ground because it would be alot cheaper on clubs and u could then set up a deal were u can pay to watch one of the games or pay a bit more to watch all 3 with the money made from steaming being shared equally between the teams that are playing,if u stream it at a small cost u never know it could even attract new fans to the game when we open up proper

When do you suggest we pay the loan back? A lot of fans keep mentioning the £16m but seem to forget its a loan

I understand its a loan presumably on terms we can afford, over a reasonable period.

Rimmer seems to have negotiated it on the basis we need it, or is it the tories paying off an instalment for votes received.

I also understand you need to apply to the rl and make a case to access any funds. I would hope any monies are not going to overpaid sl players but to the areas Rimmer has identified. The alleged amount due to be paid to Inglis is ridiculous, no matter how its being paid. Are we going to see an overall reset in sports transfers/wages with the deep recession thats on its way, think we must, in the short term anyhow.
I have been pessimistic about the long term survival of rl.We have a world cup coming up and that needs to be a success. The £16M might bridge us across to that.

There is no point borrowing to pay players not to play, you might as well go tits up and start again later.
Of course the Government are responding to the North turning blue, great isn't it and just think as we get closer to the next election

The Government money is specifically for not paying wages. Anyone borrowing and then doing that would be in deep do da.

So who's paying for the required testing? Who's paying the rental for the ground? Who's paying for the cleaning protocols that need to be in place? Who's paying for transport to the ground? Who's paying for the accommodation required to isolate ALL those involved between testing and games taking place?

SL are talking about restarting in August but it would appear from comments by Michael Carter that they haven't yet thought about what procedure need to be in place nor how much it will cost despite proposing various fixture lists!

It looks like it's more beneficial to not restart this season.

In some aspects yes. It just destroys that bit of hope and can chip away at any hope of being able to start again next season, with as strong a squad and initial performances.

And, if it still or has ever bothered people, it does give Toronto a chance to stay up, assuming SL restarts and/or promoting & relegation are revoked this season. This then leads on to the worry that licensing may come back.

All these ideas and thoughts I've seen floated, so you can feel the urgency to want to have some chance, as soon as possible, of getting back into the top league before it becomes a closed shop again.

Of course you can't get promoted if you don't have a club (or at the worst and most pessimist, a sport), so it comes down to what is the best in at least ensure survival.

I don't have any answers, just like everyone, we'll have to be as pragmatic as can be.

Licensing has to come back, but not like it was. We must protect the fan bases we have by expanding full time SL in some way. You can’t keep adding non UK clubs and keep the total at 12 or 14

Sadly Derek, I agree. It had only just started, hopefully next season can start on time. Club owners won't agree with me after all the cash they have spent, and all the sponsors/season ticket holders.

The Championship resumes initially behind closed doors, screened live on LCTV/Subscription channel. , but then is played to reduced capacity, say 1500 in LSV, to satisfy safe distancing but that means it's ST only but again is shown live on LCTV or another subscription channel.
Would you pay £30 per game to watch via subscription?

Not £30 as I am a *nationally* below average earner, as it's about £20 to stand & watch in the North Stand then that's what I would pay, as long as it is made accessible on call up *as I am also a shift worker*.
