He tries his best and thats all you can ask but clearly never SL standard.

He is unfortunately one of those players who if you saw his name in the opposition line up, you would immediately fancy your chances.

Re: Salford v Leigh : Fri Apr 23, 2021 9:53 pm
Leigh 1, 6 and 7 abysmal... Brown dominated and dictated the game. The lack of passion and fight in the second half was alarming to say the least. The opposition was supposedly our relegation rivals and they were supposedly fielding a weakened side at that... Worrying.

Ah well it is only St.Helens up next.

Salford were absolutely shocking too, yet the slightly lob sided scoreline would have doubled if it was any other side in SL.

It was just a terrible, drab, slow game to watch. Did the half time team talk include Pie and Chips ?

I’m not sure why Mr Beumint took this on knowing we weren’t prepared.

He promised we would be prepared, I wished he put as much effort into building the team as he put into the application for promotion, to my mind he is just pinning all his hopes on no relegation this season.

What did you expect, In his short stint at Leigh Kevin Brown was the classiest player we have had at the club this century, but his type of player is only good if the team is capable of playing with him.

This is what sport is about different opinions.

As I said people had to be capable of playing with him, just like the conductor of an orchestra he/she is only as good as those playing the instruments.

If there have been problems recruiting players of the required standard it would be helpful if there was some communication from the club to explain this to fans. The excitement generated in fans by rumours of potential quality signings is part of sport.

Is the pool of players of sufficient ability to be competitive even smaller than it was in 2017?

If recruitment of players of sufficient quality has been a genuine problem, and this is in some way COVID related, then it would be fair to cancel relegation this season.
