Obviously another disappointing result for the boys must be tough for them. With just one specialist prop named in the team was always going to be a tough ask. Seems odd we are not loaning a couple of forwards unless no one is prepared to loan to fellow SL clubs. With regard to next season even if discussions are going on re a 14 or 2x10 leagues assume all owners will be blocked from disclosing info until there is an official announcement. If there is going to be a change clubs need to know now so they can recruit appropriately.

From my own personal point of view.

I'm not going to watch Leigh live currently because I can't justify £30 to myself but mainly because I can't be bothered with the current nonsense regulations due to the virus of unspecified origin. If everything returns to as it was, come 21st June, then I'd hope for a sensible drop in price as more fans can get in and be, well, fans.

I've seen terrible Leigh teams in the past, this has never deterred me from turning season after season but of course I've watched them for decades, churning out heavy loss after heavy loss isn't going to inspire newbies or really lapsed fans from returning.

Leyther14 has spelled it out, those that know what the plan is for next season have not and can not speak about it. Even speaking to my Wigan supporting mates, they are convinced there will be no relegation this season though. If there is, then I still don't know what the point of all this was.

If there isn't, then we can kick on come the autumn.

Though I still have this nagging doubt that even if no relegation has been promised there is a heavy asterisk hanging over it, which I fully expect the RFL to renege on when push comes to shove. I'll remain pessimistic until then.

It seems to me the Clubs silence at the moment is very worrying , in today’s League Express we are the ONLY SL club with no mention on any news , Derek has gone silent as has JD , nothing on players injury progress or missing players ,IE Gerrard ,and Wallace ,we play Wakey next and a loss looks inevitable , after 8 games our season looks over .

Nobody seems to know what’s going on , our fitnesss levels look woeful , we have a bigger back room staff than Boris has Cabinet Ministers , and our Coach although a really nice guy , clearly isn’t up to the job .

I’m sure everybody is worried , the silence is deafening ,30 quid entrance , no wonder not many want to attend .Cmon Leigh give the fans some news as to what is happening .

The naivety which is and has been displayed in the way the club is being run is beyond belief.
And this after so much effort and impressive communication was put into the Super league application.
The club needs to come clean with the fans with an explanation of what is going on and what is going to be done about it.

I think it is all heading to Mr Beaumont's exit at the end of the season.

I doubt that would work in his favour. If P&R is put on hold. Retaining SL status supports his business, sponsorship and international commitments within his business. He wouldn’t get a better marketing deal from anywhere for the price.

Would agree with that as you say "If P&R is put on hold", and if it isn't Atomic what then?

Hope you guys pull through but don't kid yourselves about relegation being postponed. That rumour used to pop up in our neck of the woods whenever we were in the poop. There was never anything to it.

The issue is Bully the secrecy around it all. Yes P&R is still on in the RFL model. As for SL all the chairman seem to be on non-disclosure. Mr Beaumont himself going into hiding. We’ve lost two players to Wigan out of an already depleted squad, and not one statement from the hierarchy.

Winge over

Then at least we will have clarity we are back in the Championship. It can’t get any worse than what is happening now. If you think Mr Beaumont is after getting out, then that will leave Leigh short of funds. But the club cannot be held to ransom that way.
