Wigginers are not known for grey matter. When Bateman got his marching orders, they probably thought the card applied to them all!

But will French be "Frog" marching elsewhere soon? Probably not on that ankle. An interesting saga this one.

So much for being a supporter when you are walking off with nearly 15mins to go. So much for showing your appreciation to Tommy who has served that club with distinction for so many years. The least they could do is take the loss on the chin and stay and give Tommy a good send off.

The Wigan walk is nothing new. When they are winning, the game lasts 80 mins.

When they are losing, the game is only 65 mins.
