Unless the tackling improves dramatically from Saturday, it could be a cricket score. Need Leutele back.

What's happened to Oli Holmes?

Holmes is also on the injured list. Mullern is very doubtful for tonight's game. With such a depleted team, I can only see a big win for Wiggin. If Leigh can stop them scoring 30 or 40 we will have done well.

But, you never know, I remember Leigh, having played 11 and lost 11, beating Saints who had played 11 and won 11.

First game was in 1967, and have been hooked since day 1. Now live in Vancouver, Canada but follow our team any way I can.

My hopes for today are,
- we make strong first contact in the tackle and complete to prevent offloads
- we are generally stronger in taking the ball up through the forwards.

I don’t believe we will win but improve the above and I’m happy.

The rain might be a leveller but I didn't see us beating Wigan at all this season given their squad and it's an even more massive long shot now.

No more injuries and a respectable performance and score line would be enough for me

Only 1 prop forward interchange due to horrendous injury list. This could be a long night. So long as they play their hearts out, that's all you can ask for.

Yet again, 30+ missed tackles, spread across the whole team. Looking at the stats, I don't think there's a single player that didn't miss a tackle. O'Donnell and Halton missed 4 apiece, Chamberlain came on and missed two in a short space of time.

I really don't understand why we have used an overseas spot on Nakubuwei. He came on and an error and lazy marker defence directly contributed to two quickfire tries. He needs to be paid off and an effective prop forward found. Chances are we need to find a replacement for Amone next year anyway.

Norman and Trout coming in for a lot of criticism, but I think they'll be fine coming off the bench, just not ready to start games yet. Still not convinced by Halton, not sure he's good enough.

Was a tough night odds stacked against us. Thing the lads got stuck in but show you can’t build quality depth at SL level quickly. The link that Asiata and Ipape provide between backs and forwards in missing could do with some easier teams to play at momrent but it’s not happening. This season is total reverse of last at moment but need to keep the faith. Think we need to go into loan market and add another prop. Just 2 recognised props in a squad is not enough.

Could have been worse, Keighran could have been converting rather than 50/50 Smith.

I actually thought Trout and Norman did well but Wigan have an immense pack (they actually have 3 squads worth of pack).

Love to see Amone vs Thompson or Mago.

The team showed sparks, think things really picked up when Dwyer came one. Nice touch by Josh for Ricky's try.

On the pitch last night only Field had less appetite for taking a tackle than Moylan, not a criticism as such, only he almost gave a break away try at the death because he didn't want to take the ball in. Hopefully he won't fall foul on the MRP?

It's hard to take anything from that when I note the Wigan fans are calling it their best performance so far this year and I heard some of ours remark we weren't as bad as when we played Fev.

Has there been a change in the fitness and conditioning regime that we're having all these injuries or are we paying the piper for the relatively injury 2023 season?

To the future...
