Lewis and the Licences : Tue Feb 08, 2011 4:38 pm
Richard Lewis has made it clear that speculation about SL 2012-14 being a 15 or 16 club competition is unfounded:
http://www.loverugbyleague.com/news_491 ... e-axe.html In July at least one SL club will get the chop. This is interesting in conjunction with the indications that TV funding is likely to go up substantially after the next contracts. This means the SL clubs 2012-14 could each receive a substantial hike in funds making them sounder financially. So getting a licence this year may significantly improve Sl status long beyond 2014. The hard work of Ken Davy, Richard Thewlis , Browny etc mean the Giants are seen as a cert for a licence and much stronger than the last time around..good times. |
