as a saints fan in the nrl i was happy to see the back of him
the problem was he was given the NRL job before his time and struggled with the expectation of trying to make a famous club strong again
having said that, his assistant coach was mick potter who went on to great success at Les Cats and is now saint helens coach so your club has managed to get a much better coach than st helens have which is a fair achievement
with all due respect the side on paper doesnt look like a top 2 or 3 side but brown clearly has learned from the nrl the important things and is now a good coach
he emphasises the basics which is having a good kick chase (ie making sure your defence comes up in a straight line after a clearing kick) and im sure he is also legally slowing down the PTB.
a couple more quality signings and youd think theyd have a fair shot at a SL title.
he could well be the best coach in SL.
