swaz and jimmy johnson were my first rugby heroes when i started going to games back in the eighties, the reason they were my heroes was partly because they were always out drinking with my dad but mainly because when a scrap kicked off they ususlly started it.
Jimmy Johnson was awsome, one of the best ball handling props you could wish to see and could have gone a long way in the game if he could have been arsed, i think he even turned down the mighty Wigan

No he went on loan for a month and wanted to stay but Wigan would not pay what Huddersfield were asking.
I thought he went on trial but sacked it off because he could'nt be bothered
The rumour i heard at the time was he missed Tetley bitter. But you might be right. He was still a great player for us. RL at the time was quite violent with lots of fisticuffs but i always thoght that with Jimmy and Steve lyons propping we could hold our own.
