Brilliant Brown versus Wakey : Tue Jun 02, 2009 10:43 am  

Yet another Brown. Alex Brown. another powerful winger.

Scored 4 tries versus wakey reserves. I saw his second half hat trick. A great long range effort with plenty of speed and power, a try with good footwork and a hand off and a great catch & score at the end of a kick.

While we did not have one guy who has played SL for the Giants wakey had Pitts/Bibb Moore and Gleason in their team.

Well done Alex and the boys.

The RLE write up is very encouraging too. Full page on it virtually with a decent picture of Brown beating two Wakey players.

that try where he jumped,caught it,plonked it down adn somersaulted was truly awesome

were you stood at the stand side where that wakey fan was yapping at the ref, when johnson scored his try he shouted " he's not going anywhere" 10 seconds later he's bounced off 5 wakey players to score..... briliant ask wadski

Was stood near the coaches for much of the 2nd half.

Thornton was rolling his eyes and from their coaching staff were a fare few....ffs!

There was a winger called Alex Brown at Keighley a couple of seasons back, might be him. He was a young Black lad.
