Dear Huddersfield RLFC

When are you going to get rid of that silly name 'Giants' and go back to something more traditional. A few teams never had a silly name e.g. St.Helens, Hull KR and Hull FC others got rid of theirs e.g. Hunslet, Doncaster, Featherstone Rovers, Wakefield Trinty and Halifax and good luck to them. RL is not an extension of Disneyland!!!

I think you will find that the Harlequin character was a bit more than a clown. I was hoping maybe for a sensible discussion about the names of RL clubs. I dislike the Sky/Murdoch imposition of Disneyfied names the game has been subject to. Murdoch does not give a damn about RL he only cares about TV ratings and if he thought 'Monster Truck Racing' would produce better TV rating RL would be shown the door in short order! Also just remind me. Wasn't Bilko a conman?

Rochdale Hornets have been called that since 1871! Not from when Sky/Murdoch came along and disneyfied the game.

An american tv show Sgnt Ernie Bilko played by Phil Silvers.Try the on line dictionary for Harlequin .The clubs name by the way is The Huddersfield Giants.I still prefer Fartown.
