It didn't take us anywhere because it never happened did it. He had the right idea with fewer stronger clubs, but of course fans couldn't see any further than their own club, so we battle on in the same old style, living the dream that one day we will be champions. The reality is somewhat different though, Since Sky saved the game from virtual extinction the same teams have won the trophy's that matter, Sky have even less time for the C Cup than the fans who turn up in ever decreasing numbers.
Who knows Mr Davy might get behind the good Dr, and all of a sudden he will become a man of vision instead of a Clown.
Mo Lindsay presided over the most successful League club in the history of the game, Perhaps he may have got us somewhere, Where is the present system taking us ? Challenge cup quarter finals with 6/7.000 crowds, We really are going places.
