that was just a taster by his standards
Yeah --but wasnt a problem because there was no trouble !
As to cost - I had 49 plus wanting to go to the semi --but a lot of mights and maybes -and it finished up 33 and £10-00 a head instead of £6-00 (which would have been little more than the price of a taxi to Holmfirth!
I asked several weeks ago as to who would be interested in going to the final if / after we won at Warrington and reserved the same 49 seater
This would have worked out at £24-00 a head if filled - similar to the Twickenham trip but required a deposit
Out of the 40 plus "might be`s and could be`s " there were 12 who were definites
I cant believe that people didnt know whether they would be going to Wembley or not if we won - those on holiday knew they wouldnt !
But I wasnt prepared to stump up a deposit without some firm committment and it wasnt forthcoming
Now -Tuesday PM I have people ringing to ask if I`m still running a trip and can they go ? It doesnt work like that !
The position is - that coach has now been reserved by another organiser and smaller coaches mean the cost per head increases
Bottom line - a coach has to be filled to make a private party viable (like Charlie enjoyed
) - anything less and its not going to provide an economical option
Even a smaller coach half full doesnt stack up !
So - if people cant make a decision until this late stage - demand exceeds supply and it costs what coach providers and others ask
It could have been much less - but sadly some cannot make a decision that helps people to help them and are now faced with more costly alternatives and less options
My main regret is that those whe WERE willing to commit are now in the same boat!-- a great shame!
Personally - Im supporting the lads at Wembley again after a 47 year break and aint gonna let anything scupper that !
Tickets / hotel / and transport sorted - and all by lunchtime Monday
Easy really like others will vouch!
