Our forwards lacked effort today, we barely made any metres and had virtually no decent field position, in those conditions the forwards should have been taking the ball up on the first and second plays but weren't. Kyle didn't do anything wrong but he had very little platform to work with pinned in our own half. Brown looked crocked, robbo looked tired and all Jerry had to do was hold the ball in the tackle. VERY disappointed in our lack of commitment- how many times did our players looked shocked because a wakey player came from nowhere to track back and tackle. If we had shown that level of commitment and played with the line speed we are capable of we would have won that game. Another case of playing a game at the level of the opposition instead of our own level.

My take is this. The only point Wakey scored from their own effort was the drop goal. We failed to hold the ball and then failed to make a tackle for George to score; ill-discipline gave them 3 kickable penalties. We scored 2 tries.

The main difference between the teams: Wakey held onto the ball better; Wakey didn't give away stupid penalties. Wakey only out-enthused us in the last quarter.

We were awful, Wakey were almost as bad, but not quite bad enough to lose the game which is what we did [as opposed to Wakey winning it - subtle difference].

On the day Wakey deserved the points, we didn't.

Will we ever learn to demolish poor opposition?

The most consistent team at the moment having lost only 1 of their last 10 league games.

We are hardly the worst team in SL as you suggest in another post, give us back our 4 points and we would be just outside top 8 - so to dismiss us is a mistake.

To be honest you lot are all wrong, it was nothing to do with being disinterested or any other poor excuses - it was an impossible day to play good RL in and one team handled it slightly better and had a bit more resolve on the day - but it was still a lottery.

Jeez what a load of crap, what do you expect in those conditions - also neither of you tries were top draw, both were very lucky indeed.

You can't demolish us because we are not a poor side you big headed fool - and that is why you will never win SL, YOU'RE NOT WHO YOU THINK YOU ARE.
