A good win for you guys, but only 250 of you  , after the drilling we got for bringing 6-700 to your place...........very poor, especially as you are near the top of the table.

shame on those who couldn't be bothered to make the 40 mile journey....credit to those who did.
As I say, well done to your team on a well deserved win......but not up against much ateotd.

Easily more than 250. Some of you guys need to learn to count.

Less than 3400 home fans. Disgusting. On a pleasant evening with no RL on sky. Shame on the people of Salford who could not be bothered to make a 400 yds journey to watch their local team.

When you have such an embarrassing home gate getting high and mighty about support makes you look an ass.

absolutely correct

we know the situation we are in and the problems we face, but I ain't no ass mate, I was simply and accurately pointing out that we brought a fair few to the Galpharm, were slated, and then I honestly pointed out that only 250 (ok maybe 275) of your lot bothered to make such a short journey, to watch a fairly successful team.

Oh no this old chestnut!! How do you actually know we had that many at least at our ground we have a seperate counting system which is not guessed!! Also a difference in the fact when you came to ours it was a sunday afternoon whereas it was a friday night for the return at yours, many either work late or have family commitments on a friday evening.

I aint going to say how many I believed we had as I was in there and was surrounded so I cannot guess properly, but looking along the stand it did seem to be a lot more than 250. I've seen the shed a lot fuller in my previous visits! Which is just an observation not critism!

I don't agree with your gestimate. There are many reasons why our fans may not go to the Willows on a Friday. It is easy to speculate.

What is factual is a lamentable crowd.

If my club had had such poor home support (and we have in the past) and played such poor rugby (also true) I would not have the bare faced cheek to bellyache about visiting supporters.

At least your not calling me an ass now.......

All I can suggest for the very poor attendances we have had over the last 9 or 10 years is:

a: The besottedness (is that a word) of young fellas local to this area, with affilliations to certain football teams..... utd, city, bolton :( (and therefore no interest in RL)........................and yes I blame SKY tv for the disgusting amount of money they have injected into soccer
and
b: The aforementioned scenario meaning no matter what the (club I have been watching home and away for almost 40 years does), the crowds are quite simply, never going to come back to The Willows ( or Barton  )

Didn't mean to start a row, was just making a point.

Good luck to ya

Some of us can't make it with work and family commitments on a Friday evening, had it been Sunday I'd have gone and that would have meant another 4 away fans at least.

Were you just basing your 'Guess work' on the number of claret and gold shirts you saw behind the sticks ?

There were Giants fans in the seats above us and some along the terracing at the side of the shed too - i think 250 is a bit low ,it wasnt the best turnout by our fans but for a Friday evening straight after work etc i didnt think it was that bad - 500 was my guess.

Thing is if Salford had won you would probably have come on saying well done to those that came blh blah

the Claret And Gold Machine is ready to roll

sunday September 1st 2013, when a dream became a reality!!

i think its fair to say that despite us probably not being even at 80% we still had enough to comfortably beat a salford side that were the poorest team i've seen this season, they have had some good results this year but were never even within touching distance of us last night.
again ,like daz said we were sloppy at times, we fell off alarmingly for 20 odd minutes at the end of the first half and beginning of 2nd half, but we had too much for salford over all, but must step it up a bit and get some consistency back.

as for the crowd, yes it was poor, poor for salford's licensing application, a steward estimated we had around 500 there, but average crowds aren't based on how many away fans come, bear in mind it was a friday night which are never good nights for our travelling support, i didnt think it was too bad a turnout of giants
