Hull FC

Going to be a very difficult game this but one we need to win to keep our play off hopes alive. For me, Its probably going to be the most interesting 19 man squad of the year so far.

Will Leroy return? I doubt it, I think they will most likely take the extra week off and bring him back against Cas. If he does play will Turner move to loose?

Will Mellor come back or will they keep him out of the team given hes apparently signed for Hull?

Will Fergie come back in? If not, surely we need to be sending him out somewhere for some game time?

Will Seb be back? hes fit and has been training but just not picked last week.

Will Frawley return?

Will English be ok to play after his heart issue last week?

I think well line up like:

Darnell
Jerry
Turner
Wardle
Innes
Gaskell
Russell
English
O Brien
Matagi
Wardle
Fergie
Bruno

Seb
Taai
Clough
Leeming

Harsh to drop Hewitt but think he will get a rest this week given his age and the position he plays. I think Seb might come back in at prop with Taai going into the 2nd row. Think Murphy is starting to look proper busted up too now and could do with a week or 2 off. Thoughts?

If it were me I’d have seb in and taai in second row instead of Ferguson. If he’s still not signed a contract with anyone Mellor should play- he will want to impress if he’s out for a contract. Otherwise Ferguson.
I’d love to see Leroy back, Bruno in second row outside him and so turner at LF though!

if we had he reserves we may have already seen ferguson and maybe cudjoe, the way the setup is now they have to be thrown straight into a super league match and its not ideal after such a lay off

will be fixed next season though when the reserves return

Its certainly going to be an interesting call. I just cant decide what Brunos best position is myself. Ive been thinking recently what his strengths and weaknesses are and I came up with:

Strengths:

Defence
Work rate
Doesnt get turned in the tackle for quick ptb

Negatives:

Ones of his positives in thatt he doesnt get turned isnt really a positive for the Giants as we hardly ever play the ball quick
Makes no yardage at all
Cant bust tackles
Hands arent too great

1,030 metres is hardly no yardage at all, bit harsh that

Frawley is homesick apparently and if true I'm happy with that. Could free up some cap and help us bring a prop in.

Ikahihifo is massively out of favour again and apparently we are looking to offload him again.
