Bring on the championship, A chance to get rid of all the yesterdays men like Cudjo Ferguson Bruno etc and the high flying big name duds from overseas. A chance to bring on some promising younger players and get them up to a higher level instead of using them like Chessmen. For the last 5 years we have had the worst pack in the league bar none,Every team we play just roll us down the field and we play most of the game in our 22., how is any half ever going to be any good behind a pack that just roll over. If we survive this season it could be the worst thing that could happen because nothing will change it will just be more of the same drivel. Its gone on for years now and enough is enough. This all depends on the club finding someone who has some idea about quality players and how to get them wanting to play and win for the giants of course, which eliminates most of who has been running the club for the last 10 years, so i wont be holding my breath, The one saving grace is you can always not bother to go.

Erm- if we are relegated to championship then Cudjoe, Ferguson, Bruno etc would be better than what else we would be able to attract. These are players not costing us much!
Just who do you think would want to sign for a championship side......
We would be able to get rid of the overpaid overseas players though.

Yes i take your point jools i should have said that we would be able to be rid of them when we came back up, which i feel would be sooner rather than later. didn't make myself clear sorry.

Half the young players we have now would leave so we’d be left with nothing but the yesterdays men

Be careful what you wish for. Getting out of the Championship is not easy nor is attracting decent players for that level. Leigh and Widnes will attest to that.

If we went down there would never be a chance of coming back up.

Kelly would be gone and any decent youngsters would be snapped up like they were before going to Leeds Wire and Bradford

Our best option is try ride it out a few more years and then the youngsters will be physically ready for super league week in week out that’s when we’ll be able to try push for top 5

,
I don't particularly want championship rugby GIANTSRL I just think it might be a way of breaking the never ending spiral of dross that we get served up year after year. I dont know how long you have watched them but in my case it has been 30 years, In that time we had a good spell under A Murphy and a better one under N Brown, A season when we won the Hub cap on the strength of Browns work and all the rest have been making up the numbers and bumping along the bottom. Thats around 25years or so of dreams that next year could be our year only to be the same old tripe,
The club is going nowhere, Do you see anything else breaking the mould , I'm too old to believe in dreams mate, but by all means you keep on dreaming, Maybe the Rugby fairies will come and spread some magic dust, myself i think it;s going to take a bit more
