does any other clubs fans blame its CEO for players not performing or just ours? what exactly do people expect him to do once the players step onto the pitch, he's a fan like we all are so the performances are probably frustrating and hurting him too.

can you imagine your own kids reading horrible stuff about you on the internet cos someone has decided you do a poor job without knowing what is a good job in your role, its sickening at times and pathetic the abuse someone just trying his best in a very hard job gets off quite usually grown adults who have probably not achieved half of what this guy has !!

cut him some slack unless you have the money to do better !

Thewlis gets paid to appoint the coach
Thewlis gets paid to bring the players in and negotiate contracts
Thewlis gets paid to run the club and oversee all commercial aspects
Please tell me why he should be absolved from any blame just because he doesn’t take to the field or because he supports the club?
The club is run shambolicly but he should carry no flack for That ?
Ok well you are ken Davey and I claim my £10, if you run the company you take the praise when it goes well and the questions get asked of you when it doesn’t

Who hires Andy Watson and Brian blacker and manages them?
Who brought the players in ?
Who appointed the physios ?
Who brought bumper back on big money for him to leave suddenly?
Who hired Woolford ?
Does it just happen or does someone sanction it all?

The board of directors do those things.... the board..... which consists of more than one person and includes Ken.
Not sure what your job is DJ- but would it be fair if your lads performance on the rugby field was to be judged not on his own performance but based on how well the groundsman did his job? Or the kit man? Or how many tickets they sold to a game?
I would imagine like most anyone RT has performance objectives and targets to meet in his job- I’d imagine they would be based on the financial performance of the business and not the performance of the team on the field. The fact he’s still around suggests he’s been meeting those targets.
RT is first and foremost a fan- he wants the team to succeed whereas another in that role might not actually care what the results on the field were as long as he was meeting his own personal targets.
It’s like some twisted backwards form of mizaru and kikazaru we could do with more of the third one and speak less evil!

So if the board of directors do all that then what does he actually do then? And I don’t have kids so not sure what your analogy was getting at, hey you think he walks on water that’s fine, those who have left the club as they find him difficult to work with are all liars who harbour a grudge it seems, you know he’s a good egg because he tells you he is, keep drinking the coolade and having rows on Facebook with other fans, Adios

Do you understand how a board of directors works in a business?
if the analogy is too difficult for you to understand perhaps you should just stop trying.
So you’ve spoken to people who have left the club? I thought we “got rid” of people at the giants going by comments on here- people surely don’t leave!
I used to believe the crap that’s spouted but a number of years ago I was invited, with a few others, a couple on here, to speak to Ken, Paul Morgan and RT. Ive made up my own mind since that point based on my own personal experiences of dealing with him- not from hearsay on social media or from anyone else.
I’m not saying RT isn’t without fault - but he’s being blamed for things outside of his control, and being accused of making decisions he doesn’t, or without people knowing the full facts (which he will usually tell you if you ask).
He’s a fan just like the rest of us.

The club has said for a long time - ten years at least - that it needed to attract 10,000+ crowds. That is, presumably, a key target for the club as a business.

How’s that coming along?

Something that I’ve long pondered is how rugby union clubs have managed huge growth in crowds. I worked for a long time in Northampton and over the same period the Giants have stagnated, the Saints have grown hugely. Why?

Money and facilities..... and the product being devalued by the governing body.

The club said to be sustainable they needed to attract 10,000 - they tried and showed more than once they can’t do that giving tickets away for free which suggests that in this town it’s not achievable! - so the club have taken a different tack in more recent times and the corporate and sponsorship stuff is worth more money than ordinary ticket sales. That’s why the commercial decision was made to switch to Fridays- not to do with the fans but all to do with corporate.
A business club deal is worth 50 walk up ticket sales, a box 40 walk up ticket sales, an executive ticket is worth 10x what I paid for my ST.
You only have to look at the website to see how the commercial section of it has grown to see the focus has changed.
