That wasn’t the clubs attitude when Jerry wanted to go to the NRL.

We as a club can’t convince a young up and coming hooker not to leave the sport, and a hooker with obvious massive potential to stay see his contract out when we have an ex NRL Hooker as coach- what does that say!
We are now in a position where we have to run two teams with only 2 hookers- one who’s completely untested in SL. No time to get another and no one of note available. Poor management.
Surely this is going to massively affect our upcoming season.
If AOB gets injured we really are screwed. Poor management.

I Understand your reasoning Jools but it was pretty clear last season that Kruise had been tapped up the only thing that wasn't known was by who I wouldn't be surprise if he was approached the same time as Mellor.

Wigan couldn't keep hold of their star half back when they have an international half back as coach. Player power and money talks... if a player decides they want to go, there is very little the club can do.... if they keep the player against their wishes they run the very serious risk of them sulking and affecting the rest of the team.
I know in your eyes Kruise can do no wrong, but it might just be that he has flatly refused to stay.

Exactly CG but Leeming is still under contract which makes it a little bit awkward.

Agreed bilko, which makes it very disappointing that Kruise has put in a transfer request when he is still under contract.

Good deal for me - a quality young forward who can play 2nd row + some cash for a player who doesn't want to be here.

Trout was exceptional against the Aussie Schoolboys in 2018. 6ft 3 and weighs over 100kg - top prospect

Really. An England knights player in a position that the club has no cover for to be replaced by a Loose forward who couldn't get in to a shockingly poor Leeds team.

Trout is a very good prospect and was well thought of at Leeds.
He played for Dewsbury last season but did not rip up any trees.
Saying that I still feel he had a future at Leeds.
