1st v 2nd next Sunday albeit only 4 matches in to the season.

A good tester both in terms of the game and size of crowd that we get. You would hope for a minimum of 7,000 with a decent travelling support, plus it’s a Sunday and apart from the 400/500 hardy souls that have travelled away the first game of serious Rugby League of the season for many fans who watch us at home.

I would expect Wigan to start slight favourites after having ostensibly beating higher class opposition in Warrington and Hull however their loss at Cas gives us a good chance if we make home advantage count and get a fair share of possession.

The Sezer v Hastings battle is really interesting almost what we’ve got vs what we might have had.

I think Wigan have an edge in the back line, the half backs are pretty level and we have a slight edge in the pack if Gavet is fit to play.

Be interesting to see how we approach this as we were expansive at times at Catalans but played to a tighter game plan at Salford and HKR.

To have the chance of knocking off a ‘big scalp’ and maintain our winning run is mouth watering and good home support is essential in close matches like this so let’s hope both the fans and the team turn up on Sunday.... as too many times the past these type of matches have been ‘after the Lord Mayors show affairs ‘ hopefully Sunday will be different...

I think the crowd will be closer to 5000 as we sold fewer tickets. But hope to be proven wrong and Plenty of people use flexi tickets.
As for the game- that will depend on conditions. Poor conditions in the last two games have dictated how we have been able to play. Impossible to throw any long passes in the wind Friday. Currently Sunday’s forecast looks more conducive to play more like we did at Catalan.
One out of left field- if turner is back woody at fullback? He’s a smart player.

I would reckon around 6.5k dependant on how many Wigan bring over, the club and fans are pushing this game so who knows maybe 8k if we can the word out, already seen some amazing videos on FB courtesy of Mark Atack.

Thought season tickets were slightly up on last year too or have I been mistaken?

Mark was quite prepared to do things for the club, but in their infinite wisdom they did not take him on. He is now doing plenty of promo videos for businesses and a number of amateur clubs.

strange decision if you ask me as he's very good at what he does and would have taken some workload off the giants staff

“The club won’t”
But they DO-
I’ve seen a brilliant video from the club about the game coming up - excellently well made and promoting the town too!
Perhaps you aren’t looking in the right places.

Having lived in Stoke myself for 5 years, at least I know they'll be used to disappointment.

Sadly I won't be able to make the trip up on Sunday, always enjoy going to your place, but that may be due to it being one of the only grounds I can get to in approx one hour.
