A lot of senior players (again) let us down. It was clear Russell isn’t a patch on gaskell- the attack didn’t click at all and looked disjointed. They need to put in a lot of work together this week. I agree him and holmes on together didn’t work. All game We were barely out of our own half, back to zero line speed and taking the ball in from a standing start with zero metres after contact. Like last year all over again. AOB and Bruno - our two top tacklers on the bench was a big mistake from woolford.
Our defence improved in the second half but our effort in attack didn’t. A lot of individually error strewn performances. Sezer kicking was way off his best. Darnell dropping ball, Jerry dropping ball, Murphy dropping ball.
And if gavet put as much effort into running the ball in and his tackle first contact as he does into p*ssing about around the ruck and on the floor he’d be good. I was so frustrated with his performance and enforcer he was not. We were dumb and terribly ill disciplined- 4 penalties in front of their sticks.
Toronto on the other hand were strong taking in the ball, lots of metres after contact, kicked long, up quickly in defence, quick ptbs and I can only recall a couple or individual errors from them all game. Credit to them, they were better all round and deserved more points.
I do not want to see That level of performance again Giants. Most of you have some soul searching to do.

We have put some corking displays on in the cup over the years jools but that was right up there with the Swinton's and the Hunslet's etc. It's killed my pig for a while i'm afraid, I just can't be bothered to trail down to watch a so called professional side who are prepared to put on a show of that standard, irrespective of what their reasons or excuses for it are.

I thought Mr Davy said something last season about this sort of thing would not be happening again, He must wonder just what the hell he has to do, I don't know whats left to him but that's certainly the way to reduce the number of fans, I don't know how many were there last night but i bet there's plenty won't be going again for some time and i guess some never again.

Still we beat Saints didn't we , that will last us for a while, the CC is nothing to get worked up about anyway.

I watched the game last night and I thought that Huddersfield did not want to win.
Appalling first half with poor attitudes left them playing catch up.
As the weather got worse it left them chasing the game and Toronto played smart and took easy points as they became available.
No passion at the end of the game as they shook hands with the Toronto players and antipodean renewed acquaintances.
Just seemed to me that they lacked the passion that I as a paying fan expect.

I thought exactly the same. With one or two exceptions that was shameful. Before anybody points out the obvious, yes I have seen similar displays from my team - but not recently.

McIntosh not Wood?

Second try from McIntoch intercept?

Forgetting his poor positioning and decision making, probably only one player deserved their pay - Jerry.

We are getting ridden over and we leave OB on bench?

No desire to win
No plan B
No respect for the fans who travelled.

Jerry dropped the ball at least twice. It wasn’t HIS finest game either

Don't you think.we ought to forget about the miserable
Wednesday night we all suffered- players and coach included-
and move on ?
The cup is a one off game and the best team on the night will usually win - and did!!
They defended better
They attacked better
Their in play kicking was better
Their enthusiasm and will to win was way beyond
ours End of !
We can discuss till Domesday but it won't
put the clock back Ok it hurt!
Let's hope it hurts the squad who we know are
capable of so much more and serves to make them
try harder for success from hereon in!
It's 67 years since I saw a club captain lift
the challenge cup at Wembley and boy what a
feeling It's one I think most of present fans would
love to experience - and our players
Can't understand why the prospect generated
so little desire and pride from them the other
night to achieve a highlight in their playing career
Beats me! Not the fact they lost but the manner in which they lost!
Aah well-.maybe next year?

Couldn’t agree more it was the manner not the defeat. There are only 2 trophies up for grabs and the cup with Sezer in our team was easily the best chance. I brought a couple of new people down to the game not a good night to sell the experience. Let’s hope it doesn’t derail some of the good things so far
