What is the point in the offside rule if the officials don't enforce it, they seen to choose when they want to call it.

Its not even that....what the f*!k do the linesmen do?? Honestly, they stand there and watch..the defence just move up before the player even gets to his feet and the linesmen stand there with blind eyes...

They talk about bringing in 2 referees etc...but surely we have that now...if not 3!! Linesmen need to do something otherwise they're pointless!! How hard can it be for the RFL to tell them to get involved!!??

How do you know the touch judges dont tell the ref. They are miked up. It may well be the ref ignores them. Just a thought.

At half time the 3 of them will discuss how the game is going and highlight any concerns to the ref.

we lost...the ref wasn't that bad, and the linesmen have always been as much use as a chocolate teaspoon since I started watching RL.
10 yards with Bentham is 10 yards....but he doesn't look across the line EVER.....always looking at the PTB.
2 refs isn't the answer....just better training for the 2 linesmen. IMO that is.

so, up to now most teams are out of defence quicker than us and meet us in attack
Sorry but I dont think the offside calls were that bad
soon as the ball touches the foot at the play the ball (not that it ever does) then defence can move forward, and so far noticably KR and cats were sprinting as soon as the ball is played catching us on the hop

Lets give over blaiming the ref, we played dumb rugby in the second half

I fully agree that we lost fair and square, I don't blame the ref or linesmen. My point is that so many times throughout the season and watching games as a neutral on Sky I see players on the blind side of the ref creeping forwards early....this results in an unfair advantage - even if its Quins doing it. This is what should be stopped and my point was why aren't the linesmen more proactive at the play the ball?

Guess we'll never know...Baffles me with that in mind what purpose the additional referee in the NRL this season is doing!!

Isn't the additional ref if NRL specifically there to watch for messing about at PTB? Don't watch NRL but I know they are there for something specific rather than just being an additional ref.
