Now, lots of possible reasons for this and to be fair, last years goons figure was littered with freebies, so in real terms, we seem to be losing 500 a game on average.
I would think that a fair amount of these are away fans who aren't coming down due to the new long distance games (France and Wales) as well as a smattering of stay away londoners.

The problem we have is that we don't (in most cases) know who these fans are. I believe that we need to proactively canvas fans for their details at games. Offer a box for 10 as a prize, free tickets, away coach fare paid or something, in exchange for their details. Then we need to ask them for feedback and suggestions.
Simply put, the 3 games against Wire, FC and Wigan in 2005 brought us 3,219 more fans (£32k in ticket revenue alone) and as we are now in our 4th year as QRL.....we really need to address this decline before it becomes terminal.

I believe that HKR brought 250 less yesterday than last year, so where have the other 750 fans from last year gone If we were to lose another 750 next year, and HKR bring 250 less again, we will be averaging 2,000 a game by the end of 2010

TBH, with a trip to Edinburgh, France and still one to South Wales to contend with, plus the possibility of Wembley for the teams still in it, I am suprised that more away fans are choosing which ones to go to, I certainly cannot afford all of them and have chosen accordingly.

Your regular travellers who do it every other week to the North deserve applause.

I was sitting not a million miles from these gentlemen and thought they were quite intimidating to the two older members (Season ticket holders) of our fan base. Why do away fans think they can sit in a stand (Gold) designated for season ticket holder only.
I would also add that the steward should also know that it was a Gold ticket area only!

FWI, I thought we were the far better side in the first half, but weren't ruthless enough. Second hald, we just didn't turn up. As has been alluded to here a few times, it is getting harder for away teams to bring down many fans as they are now faced with Catalans, Celtic and Quins as potential bank breakers. Still, if they brought 750, then that means we had 2,750 "home fans" at the game...let's hopewe can get these people back

I felt we should have been comfortably ahead by half time; as it was we only led due to Dobson's inaccurate kicking. I thought HKR supporters were pretty quiet in the first half though - it was only when it was obvious their team was going to win they got noisy.
