No its being played at The Stoop. 2,000 "visitors" expected along with the

Mmmm...I can't help thinking this is a mistake (again). Evans turned down the chance of a 40k gate for the Heineken Cup game v Lienster in the hope of getting a 16th man type atmosphere going......and they blew it. As much as QRU are financially stable, 27,500 more tickets at £20 each is a fair chunk of cash to turn down.
As a London Irish fan, I hope to be their cheering on my team whilst wearing the oppositions colours

The Stoop is their stadium and these games are the rewards for all the effort the club has put in. its right to leave it at the TS.
Also it creates scarcity which drives long term demand rather than play in souless half empty twickenham

Not sure it will be that black & white; what are the relative operating costs of hiring Twickers (not small I've heard) and then resulting profit or loss. Plus the risk associated with getting it wrong and the chance you could be left holding the baby. Plus Twickers/RFU might not be amenable to having it on that date or Premier Rugby don't want it. etc etc. Bit more pink, grey, brown, blue & green methinks....

I heard they made no profit from the game on the 27th Dec. Granted, they sold tix @ £10 and they didn't lose money either, but it was a break-even project aimed at data collection & profile raising. Job done. :?:

Also the point that Bath and Leicester crying "foul" that the winner of the Quins v Irish semi will have an unfair advantage having played a semi at the same stadium as the final.

As part of "The Quins Family", I note that Jon Wells has used part of his Rugby League World column to congratulate Ugo Monye on his selection for the Lions. I wonder if they'll get any complaints?
