HKR Fun bus, June 14th : Mon Apr 20, 2009 9:42 am
Dependant on Sky not moving the game, I plan to try to replicate the Crusaders trip by running a 72 seat bus to Caravan Park.
The plan will be to leave the Stoop at 9.30 am, with a pick up on route on the M1 and to arrive at about 1.30. We will then depart at 5.30 with a view to getting back to the stoop at around 9.30........
72 seater coach is the preferred option, so the tickets will cost £20.
If we get 60 people, then all additional money taken from the remaining 12 seats will go towards Buck and Dusty travelling and to the volunteers community fund.
I am not sure, but I would imagine that the club may well supply some prizes to be raffled on board (last week we had match tickets and a signed ball) and we will have plenty of DVD's (STEVE......WE WILL WON'T WE) to watch on route.
COUPLE OF THINGS:
1. Whilst I appreciate some people would prefer a different starting point other than TW2, it is the fairest way to do it as far as I am concerned.
2. I will be paying for my ticket, as will everyone who travels apart from Buck and Dusty.
3. The £20 ticket price is non-negotiable, as the (approximate) £240 if we make if we sell all the seats is designed to ensure I don't get stung and if I don't, that the volunteers fund will continue to grow.
4. This bus trip organising is a "not for profit" scenario. HTH.
5. I would advise all who wish to travel that unless they are going to sit behind Alison and Brian that you bring a packed lunch, as I am the only one allowed to get free pork pies from them
6. I also would finally ask that if you want to reserve seats on the bus, you PLEASE DO SO BY EMAILING
quinsrl_awaycrew@hotmail.co.uk with the subject line Hull Kingston Rovers and the number of seats required for the trip. Once I have assessed the response, I will email everyone with confirmation that the trip is on and with details of how to pay me.
