When I was questioned on these boards regarding pick up points after I had requested money, I suggested (quite aggresively) that email was a better way to ask me.

SO...to all those who have sent me cheques.....I will let you know tomorrow if I have lodged them, but I'll tell you this, if anyone here thinks paying nearly £1k, collating data and messaging the facebook to try to fill an away bus of quins rl fans is easy...then think again.
I am that angry, I am close to cancelling the bus..

And this message above is from the potential organiser of a supporters group....God Help him
Customer service? Get real. The club couldn't get more than 10 people on a FREE bus......you sir, have not the slightest idea of what a volunteer does!

The club are losing too many volunteers already!

LambethQuin wind your neck in!!! As one who has previously travelled on the Gutterfax express I can vouch for the excellent service. You need to realise that GF like many of us on here have day jobs. Organising away trips for large groups is a HUGE commitment for anybody, I know 'cos I've done it before. Deposits to be paid in advance (out of your own pocket!), chasing money, marketing it, getting bums on seats - it aint easy.

I never expect emails from volunteers to be responded to immediately simply because I appreciate that they have lives, jobs and families outside of the volunteer role ( and yes, I deal with volunteers on a daily basis!!) They do say that patience is a virtue and in this case seems you didn't have any!!

Gutters, please keep the faith!! Those that do use the service appreciate it! Although I've only managed one due to work commitments I fully intend to try and make another away trip!!

LQ, agree with the supporters group statement,Although I agree in principle to the idea and would give it my support I think you need to consider if you are the best person to lead the initiative if this is the way you treat a fellow volunteer.

Pity to fall out. Personally, I'm delighted to have the chance to go to away games with the kids, thanks for making it possible.
I'll bring some extra diesel to help the driver out.

reign it in GF, you're not looking good in this, a PM is supposed to be what it says on the tin and your new-found martyrdom is not an attractive trait

if you can't put up with the cr*p that comes with this stuff, don't do it (it's the reason why it'd never even enter my head to do owt like that), but don't throw a hissy fit on here and expect people to kiss your backside and beg for forgiveness, purleeeeeez...
