Hi,

I'm in the process of launching a new fansite for Widnes and one page that I'm working on will be a little bit of information about our next opposition each week.
The idea is to try and interest those that are wavering on making the trip to the game.
Obviously this week it's you guys so I was wondering whether you would do me a favour and post on this thread 3 or 4 of your players to watch and just a couple of lines about each.

Also could you let me know when you do so whether I can use your username or real name(if supplied).

Craig Gower is GOD - nothing more needs saying, and you would be very brave to call him anything else!

1. Craig Gower again. Player of the season by many miles last year. Without him we'd be half the team. Opposing coaches know this of course so he gets quite a battering but almost always gets up and keeps going. Needs someone to take some of the pressure off him. Maybe TR can get Witt to do the business this year?

2. From a Widnes point of view, how about Shane Grady, ex Widnes player? Left you as a centre/2nd row. Played as a goalkicking prop for Thirroul Butchers in the Illawarra local comp. When our previous coach signed him, recommended by Shane Millard, we seemed to think he was a centre. We shall see (if he gets a game).

3. Our other Shane (Rodney) owes us a few good performances. Spent most of last year out of action injured, not a problem during his years at Manly. I'm hoping he'll prove to be one of those second season Aussie successes.

4. Our right centre could be crucial. Problem is finding one.

Don't forget young Dan Sargison - great side-step good hands going to be a belter!
