What was the commentary like? it is being done for the BBC by my mate's company which he owns, we worked together in radio for many years, they did the music for the New Year London Fireworks Celebrations/

Pretty good but not up to Churchy's standards (but what is?). Kept up with tackle count well but it wasn't always clear whereabouts on the pitch the play was. And it's difficult to picture what's going on if they don't make it clear which way the teams are playing relative to where they're sitting and (occasionally) which team's right or left they're referring to.

OT: I'm completely fed up with massively overdone noisy fireworks displays, especially with "musical" accompaniment. However, my son tells me I'm being an old misery and he's probably right..

Heard a lot of negative comments about the Five Live Sports Xtra coverage yesterday, I'm told they took the BBC Radio Merseyside coverage live, and of course it was very pro Widnes with Bias and also with the Warrington in their game against Castleford,
