Good idea
. I suggest that the marketing dept(in the assumption that they read this forum), send e-mails to the schools and particularly the clubs, that the players attended and played for, advertising this game for a reasonable ticket price.....say £3? Who knows how many ex team mates, friends, aspiring rugby league youngsters with a connection to the player/s may turn up? I have to say I did not see many youngsters at our 1st home game, despite the bargain £30 Junior Broncos season ticket on offer. Anyone know how it was marketed other than on the website?......Why not push the boat out and contact all schools and clubs playing Rugby League in the London area and extend the deadline for the Junior Broncos season ticket for example? Make the U19's home games after the main match, common practice where feasable?
One of the problems with before,(other than the away teams getting up at the crack of dawn), is that although an U19 spectator only has to pay £5 for both the U19's and main match........it is highly probable that some over 19's(parents,relatives,friends etc) would like to watch the match but not want to stay for the main event and therefore be unwilling to pay the full £20 each....in fact I know a few!
Last home game, my free tickets hadn't arrived and was advised to collect them at the ticket office.......game kicked off at 12.30, but the ticket office didn't open until 1 o'clock! Was only down to the kindness and common sense,(which isn't so common!), of a gateman that they got to watch the 1st half.
Maybe someone with the authority to implement some changes/suggestions will do so.........
