Among the utter mad things he said, he also said things like:

Gus Mackay himself referred to 'marquee signings' for next season so further investment has obviously been found from somewhere."


On McDermott staying: "Again I ask the question, does David Hughes actually care about results?"

You'd swear GF would have said this one: "He might know a thing or two about business but it looks like he doesn't know anything about creating a viable Superleague club. Again, I put it back to you, if it was your money and you were losing milllions would you tolerate the status quo at the club in terms of marketing, coaching and players?"

Now that's only a few of his quotes. Can people see a mirroring of what he said in the past being said more recently by others?

His logic for trashing the club was that we had become Harlequins RL,
He would only appear on the boards after a loss and fire off blame at the only person on earth willing to put his money in his pockets to support an SL team in the capital.
He talked utter nonsense about the name change alienating 8k.
He talked about the glory days of the Broncos, when we have traditionally struggled save for one or two seasons.

But you go ahead with your selective quotes to compare that with a team that went 'all out' to the cap and invested in the first team and academy and produced this garbage as well as the non-existent behind the scenes work.


Simple fact of the matter is we have become a tinpot operation with annual attendance of around 29k while competing in a global sports marketplace where team's like the Yankees get around 4million through their gates a season.
