See Carney got banned for a taclkle on Dave, wonder if that is the one he got injured in. So we don't get any benefit during the game for an incident - ridiculous!
That's the way "the law" in general works though ain't it? There's no way to compensate a murder victim.
Having read through umpteen threads today in catch-up mode, I'm struggling to contribute anything at all worth saying. Anyway, fwiw I'll use this thread.
I've missed our last three home games, no 1 due to a significant wedding anniversary, no 2 due to being on holiday and no 3 due to the game being played at The End of the World. That's a measure of how uncommitted to the club I feel nowadays. A few years ago for no 1 I would have tried very hard to persuade my good lady that a hospitality package at The Stoop would be a good way to celebrate [what a mistake that would have turned out to be], no 2 wouldn't have happened because I planned holidays around home games and for no 3 I'd have made the effort. Not now though, just buy ST and then pick and choose.
Listened to yesterday's game on BBC Merseyside/Manchester (same commentary). It sounded like one of those Challenge Cup games where a championship team plays a SL team, I thought it a bit like our game against Barrow a few years ago so I looked up the result of that and, would you believe, it was 82-8 (13 goals by Purdo). I remember there being some sympathetic cheers when the plucky underdogs scored. Uncannily similar, though Barrow did have the disadvantage of being the away team.
Nowt to add, I don't know whether to be depressed or bored.
EDIT: After thinking about it, I'm just bored.
