Sorry if this is a bit of a downer but in light of the 'inspirational' words of our captain over the last week I've gone from thinking the club is deep in doodoo but will still be about next season to being genuinely terrified it wont.
What's the groundswell of opinion out there?

It's a sad time, and I don't think Big Nigel is too worried, it will be ideal to get rid of us and I don't think he cares too hoots about Hemel or Skolars! all the RFL has really done has played lip service to us!

Semi pro in the Championship for me, although this may be wishful thinking on my part. Managed properly (we should be so lucky!) it could be the making of the club.

If we went semi-pro why would many folks want to travel all the way into London to watch every game? I certainly wouldn't be a LB ST holder for a year or two either if we went down. The very entertaining Hemel Stags are half the distance I travel to watch us fail in the Super League and the brand new amateur North Herts Crusaders (in the East of England league) is on my doorstep for a quick RL fix and on the way up winning the East Of England Cup Final in their 2nd year. Shamefully it's the Super League or nothing with me & the Broncos. In some ways RL in the south is looking up & we need London in the top flight to continue this progression. I voted for option 1 FWIW.

Im with you and on that and i believe so are most people. However when we keep saying how critical to the game down here we are to the National profile and the amateur and semi pro game the flat cappers dont accept it and tell us how the amateur game will prosper whether we are here or not. As the game withers and dies down here and then Up North I guess they will soon forget what they said on these forums.
