I never actually mentioned 10k as a break even, all I suggested was that very few pro sports clubs run at a profit, that's over the whole spectrum of British sport not just RL

Forgive me for my negativity, but this is the London Broncos and David Hughes we are discussing....remind me of their track record together.

Nope, but you responded to a poster who declared that 10k wasn't the magic number...I simply pointed out the striking similarity between self sufficiency in SL and having an average attendance over 10k.

Back on thread. Anyone heard any more rumours? Any sightings of Long in a Barnet Ladbrooks?

How loving hard isit to let the few remaining fans know what is going on?

Was looking at the South Premier League and of the 15 teams, 8 of them are North or North of London, it might actually (slowly) improve the crowds from last year.

No mate I was making a general comment on the whoe thread and sport in general, I was not agreeing or disagreeing with the magical 10k crowd figure.
lots of sporting clubs survive due to nice benefactors who like to spend money on whatever sport they like.
I have been as frustrated as anyone about whats happening, but if there was nothing to tell folk whats the point in saying anything, there is also the possibility that future investors may have made that a stipulation, nothing is said till its sorted.
yep its crap, and we go back to the rubbish pub comparison, you go elsewhere.
But it is what it is, lets hope it is sorted and we have a club and a home to watch that club in during 2014
