GF the Broncos haven't gone for a big one off costly signing. We all know Hughesey will cough up on Broncos debts. Have Leigh got the equivalent?

I'm hoping Leigh aren't going for a boom or bust approach

I don't know if Hughes will or will not cover any losses we may make. He certainly has covered AK's aspirations financially for 2015, but they still haven't thrashed out the fine points......and Hughes is a poop negotiator, having nearly destroyed us totally in 2013. As it is, I'd prefer to think that the squad we have assembled are costing us no more than our central funding and the day to day running costs are being met by commercial activity.

From what I've read, Leigh have put in place a business plan that will prevent them from over-stretching. Mike Norris their Chairman recently was quoted as saying
“We can then continue to roll out our plans in the measured way we believe will enable us to fulfil our ambitions. I am confident I can oversee that strategy and lead us along the path and look forward to doing so.”

I suspect that they are well within their budgets for 2015 having been a very well run business on and off the field in 2014. If they were going for bust to get back up, it would take more than 1 35yr old player to get them there.....

I don't care what he's getting paid. For 2 games this year, we need to worry about the 30-40 minutes he's playing against us and that's it. Leigh obviously are comfortable with whatever amount he's on. They seem like a very well run outfit since their 2011 wobble....I still see them as 3rd place finishers this year, but they will be one of the sterner tests the team face.
