As a club our re building and further progression target next year should be to finish top and to be at least in the million pound game next season. I know the squads of both teams will change quite a bit as they will lose top players but interesting to hear people's thoughts on who they would prefer to lose on sat come down and probably be our main opposition next year.

For me if Salford drop the doc will walk and they will be hit hard financially which could work for us, they will struggle to get quality players.
KR I think would be looking to bounce straight back and in my mind would be the stronger club, they have been in 2nd tier before and in effect did a leigh by building slowly.

No disrespect to either club but for us I hope KR win on Saturday and Salford have a taste of championship rugby

I would like to see Salford stay up. Mainly for their fans who have been through it this season.
Natural justice too, without the points deduction, they would not be involved in this game.

Micky I think your underestimating where some teams could be next year. We may well have Toulouse to contend with next year, I doubt Bradford will be the basket case they have been this year, Halifax, Fev are all likely to improve. Not sure about Batley. As for the Major Panic Game tomorrow, I think the Doctor has said he is staying, and I would rather Salford won. I was undecided until I heard the comments being uttered by Peacock, Cockayne and Webster.

Hope Salford stay up. As annoying as MarounK is, I think Salford were pretty harshly treated compared to how some previous salary cap offenders have been, and that rankles. I'm also far from convinced that some of the top clubs are staying under the cap, I suspect they just have better lawyers, accountants and contacts with the RFL.

As for Hull KR, Hudgell has threatened to pull the plug in the past due to the cost, and the ambulance chasing lawyer model his business operates has been threatened in recent years by government clamp downs on the personal injury compensation racket.

Not underestimating the other clubs in the league at all. Merely suggesting that this year we progressed in the right direction and to continue that as a full time outfit we should be looking at top spot. No opposition can be taken lightly. I reckon toulouse will do ok but they will not be as dominant as they were in league one. Bradford have time be aiming for a much better season but I still reckon the team that drops down will be the big challenge.
For me I am biased being from Yorkshire, so KR to stay up.
As for the fans at salford, obviously that means the ones that have stayed, the average crowd has dropped dramatically since they moved.
I do find all the moaning about players welfare and job security riding on one game utter tosh, if it was one up one down its the same situation with contracts. Wakey owner made a big deal about it last year and the uncertainty etc he still got rid half that squad that one the 4/5 game and brought new players in

Don't get me wrong player welfare is important but if you are to have promotion and relegation then someone will always lose out unless there is a parachute payment system.
Can the sport afford that

Not forgetting people benefit i.e. Leigh players
