It’s a tough spot. The Broncos are in a different recruitment pool compared to most Championship clubs, and that gap is pretty clear. Eccles has shown he can get the best out of players, but as you say, a lot of them will need to step up massively. The biggest worry is the attack - where do the points come from? If they can’t find a consistent try-scoring threat, it’s going to be a long, painful season. Early days, but the signs aren’t exactly reassuring. Finally sorting the goal-kicking, only to be left wondering where the actual tries are coming from. It’s a bit of a role reversal from past seasons when we had exciting attacking threats but lacked consistency off the tee. If we can’t find a way to break defences and get over the line regularly, having reliable kickers won’t count for much. Let’s hope someone steps up as a real attacking spark—otherwise, it could be a season of respectable conversion rates but not enough chances to use them!
