Paul Blanchard Should ASAP...... : Wed Mar 25, 2009 5:44 pm
Move the away supporters into either the North or South stands, one or both has been open for home games so far this year so there is no cost saving there.

This would mean that the ugly ish scenes at the end of the last game would be easier avoided (with the away supporters 'penned' in during a pasting) but more importantly (and I hate agreeing with Lister) it seems rediculous that supporters trying to introduce friends to the game find it hard to get seats together, not exactly conducive to them coming back.

I hate the East full stop even from my 'gold' seat I cannot see the touchline, but can see the POV of the club costwise, but so far at least one of the end stands has been open for every game, would probably look better on TV too.

Would also stop all the 'allocated seat' threads everytime a team comes to visit.

Well said. As a customer, I also think Tesco should change their LOGO.....but guess what? They won't.

This is year "0" for the club. The new regime needs time to bed in.
As much as I like to be served my beer in glass and would prefer to win every game, I don't always get what I want.
Get over it.
The East stand makes financial sense and unless you have the cash to replace IL or DH's money.....then shut the hell up!
I am the biggest critic of the back office, but I have agreed to shut up (for while).
I suggest that if you are really unhappy, you protest with your feet and don't turn up.
I for one want the club to survive and will happily sit anywhere....until we have the crowds that warrant opening up the whole ground.
I would suggest that MOST true fans would feel the same....maybe I am wrong

I'm sorry but this is a pathetic argument and for a person of your intelligence I am amazed you are keeping up with it. As the OP pointed out, we are opening the North and Stand stands anyway.

Who have you made this agreement with?

Again, what sort of a comment is that? We want the club to provide a better matchday for EVERYONE, home fans, away fans, neutral fans, new fans, by doing something that would cost NOTHING more, and you suggest that instead we shouldn't bother coming anymore?

Getting your beer in a glass, could cause problems.

Moving the away supporters into either the South or North stand cost the club nothing as one or both has been open for every game any way, thats nothing.

In fact if friends come for the first time and can't sit beside their mates, the current policy is costing the club money as they are unlikely to come back.

It's not the existing fan base we have to worry about, I still attend despite my own dislike of the east and will continue to do so, it the new fans that come along and get put off coming back that need to worry about.

It's no good the club taking the attitude this is year 0, there really is not the time, should they wait until next year, they need to act ASAP, another way of looking at it is that the club is -2.75 years away from extinction.

I may not have the money of IL but am still entitled to my view. Sure having the Lexus open was a problem but the club has come up with the worst solution.

Anyway the thread is supposed to be a PB should do .... I just started with the seating.

No...not at all. Just a little bit sick and tired of negative posts that do not offer a VIABLE solution.
I always offer a solution or potential solution when having a go, but some people just want to friggin moan for the sake of it.

as for nnl01 post regarding me being given my beer in a glass causing problems...I suggest you find out a little bit about me before making such sweeping judgements

Have you ever seen me do anything that would be deemed violent? Have you ever seen me cautioned by a steward or police officer? Have I ever been asked to leave the ground?
You sir/madam...are a first class knob!
Windy, now I am having the makings of a bad day 8) so I am off to glass an old lady for her pension

Looking in from the outside as an IT genius not a sales guru, Tesco seem to be doing ok, Quins RL on the other hand ......
