No.

Peter Gill was the last.

Richie Barnett, Dennis Moran, Mark McLinden, Jim Dymock etc. were never deemed good enough.

when Dennis moran was a candidate for man of steel he had to fork out for his own trip to Leeds so it's a mixed blessing.

Don't think he got it either - did he get top points or something?

Vowles won it in 1999 playing for a very unfashionable Castleford side. Did almost single handedly drag them to a GF mind you.
