Parking On Saturday : Thu Aug 13, 2009 10:53 pm
http://www.league.quins.co.uk/news/10094.php

Does anyone have any idea how many spaces the club has for those relying on the first come first served basis? If we can't get in there, is it a 2 fingers from the club (who could have moved this fixture) and then we will be shafted a silly amount by the RU t*ssers?

Ideas anyone? Driving from Kent...

Mate, I would drive to and park at a station on the twickenham line and train it/bus it in.
Not sure about the regulations on the other side of Twickenham, but should be OK around fulwell, whitton, strawberry hill........

Can you park for free? How many people are they expecting at this 7's thing and what is the hike in prices?

about 30k usually.
Parking is controlled by the RFU and is about £25 notes I believe. Richmond put on extra wardens as to Twickenham when there's an event in the big house, so your best bet is to park on a residential road on the other side of Twickenham

just check it's not residents only...

ok the club decided to switch to sat afternoons but this is just bloody stupid!!
For an away supporter turning up and having to pay 25 notes to park or getting a ticket from the parking facists or even worse getting towed, not a good incentive to get em to come down again next year is it?
Same for home supporters who may be wavering

Why did they not change the game to Sunday???

2,670 is the average crowd for Salford in London....and 2,245 is out lowest crowd this year........
Maybe they're going to try to get a crowd lower than Celtic

There have been clashes in the past with the sevens so why it's bloody stupid this year when no one has noticed in the past is beyond me

It's not stupid.....it's just that we are playing terribly at the moment. If we had just won a CC semi-final and were sitting 4th on the league nobody would complain
It's infectious

gutter

sorry mate its stupid!!! even if we were sat at the top of the league and on our way to wembley, i still think folk would complain about the fact there is nowhere to park on a match day unless you are willing to fork out 25 notes!!!!!
In fact if we were top of the tree and winning, there would be more folk to complain, so i suppose its a blessing we are doing so rubbish.

luckily i can come on 2 wheels so parking costs me bugger all

Clashing with an event over the road be it kick and clap, or something like Rod Stewart like a couple of years back is just crazy planning, and a good way to encourage people NOT to turn up.
Lets face it, its not the biggest crowd pulling game, so if you looking for a game to skip, the parking issue is only going to reinforce the urge to not bother
