Oh dear.......I fear we make be back in the firing line next year
I can't believe this has been an ongoing investigation, so who rattled border controls cage?

I love the comment:
"As the result of an intelligence-led investigation into possible immigration offences among players at Celtic Crusaders, we can confirm that six Australian nationals have been served with papers confirming that they are illegally present in the UK."

translated.......we got a call from some angry bloke who lives near Wigan who is still annoyed his team didn't get in.....

We think we have it bad but the fans of Celtic have just heard that six of their Aussies must leave by 7/9/09. Van Dijk,Hannay and Co.

I think I can guess how a few of the replies will go here.

Some posters on the Saints board being dramatic says the end of Celtic Crusaders, yes perhaps Newport! but more serious the first game they take to Newport and this should happen, of course cries for bring Widnes in.

It shows how parochial our game still is! this season has been embarrassing in the rugby weekly press the whining from some clubs supporters who did not make Super League.

It is rumoured the complaint came from the Wigan area, oh no not Leigh! would that be.

Those in glass houses sometimes should not throw stones do we remember some players (no not those saints who are never sinners) becoming involved with betting offences, with the FA they handed out real sentences to those who broke rules as seen recently with player s form such as Accrington Stanley!

Luck is a combination of preparation and opportunity

Just to avoid confusion Starbug is the username of Steven Pike

SOMEBODY SAID that it couldn’t be done
But he with a chuckle replied
That “maybe it couldn’t,” but he would be one
Who wouldn’t say so till he’d tried.
So he buckled right in with the trace of a grin
On his face. If he worried he hid it.
He started to sing as he tackled the thing
That couldn’t be done, and he did it!

To be honest can't say any of those would be a big loss for them. Duggan and Quinn were being released, Dick van Dyke is the worst half in SL, Hannay and Mapp were good once and what can you say about Court. Give the young Welsh fellas a go - nothing to lose.

Some on the Saints board are saying the opposite to that, however!

I feel sorry for the Celtic fans but so long as the club are not found guilty of anything then there is no reason why this couldn't work out well for them in the long term as they now have a chance to recruit well for next season, get their act together during the off season and start afresh. Their fans won't feel like that just now but hopefully all the bad news is done with and things can kick on for them.

Meanwhile, their young reservists are in for a thrashing over the next three weeks, the poor guys!

Joke of a 'franchise' since day 1. It makes us look like RL club of the decade.
