Not meaning to step on the toes of Poplar Panther, but...
NEW PODCAST I have a new podcast which will run throughout the 2013 season, with news, features, interviews etc from clubs in London and the South: Episode 1 - A Testing Year: http://www.spreaker.com/user/ianramsdale/a_testing_year
CHANGES With pan-BBC changes to BBC Local Radio schedules, BBC London Sport has had it's airtime cut - so there is no space for a regular rugby league show. I've therefore decided to do one independently.
SERIES FUTURE it's very much a work-in-progress - but as you'll hear (I hope) the figures from the game are still happy to talk to me and give me the interviews and stories. It's far from "bbc quality" at the moment, but I am working on plans. The link above is it's current home. I'm still investigating a dedicated website/hosting site, getting it on itunes, and also live streaming of programmes in the future (and maybe video). If you're a web-guru, I'd love to hear from you about any of this you may be able to help with.
CONTRIBUTING I'm also looking for fans to contribute each week, by joining me on the phone. If you message me your details, we'll get that set up. Your comments and feedback are always appreciated, I am also hoping to set up a dedicated email address for your contributions. You can always tweet @ianramsdale (for now).
EXTRAORDINARY RUGBY In Episode 2, next week, I'm also looking for your suggestions for "characterisation names" of the Broncos/Skolars/Hemel (and other southern rugby league club) players - in the style of the RFL's extraordinary rugby theme. They've called Kieran Dixon - The London Phantom, what other suggestions have you for the other players?!
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and thanks in advance to anyone that clicks the link and listens. Needless to say, the more popular it is, the more potential it has.
Fingers crossed for a positive year, on many levels.
Rammo (off the radio).

was watching an nfl doco. on one of their teams and they used the term bomb to describe those long high passes from quaterback to running back and i think gibson took that idea, realized you cant throw the ball forward in RL and adapted it to a "bomb" kick we have

Welcome Quins Kitties born 02.04.09 - Purdo - Determined, loveable with a "can-do" attitude. A born leader. Louie - Big, white and fluffy. A very noisy prop forward. Harley- Cute and gorgeous (just like our no.9) Well, I couldn't call her Chad, could I? Update on Quins Mogs :- Purdo - deffo leader amongst Mogs. The Capo. Louie - turned out to be more like Louie Spence than LMS. Re-named Judas. Harley - Cute but not as gorgeous as our no.9. Oh well, at least I haven't got a Willy.

THANKS Thanks to all who have listened to the Rugby League Down South podcast so far this season. I'm still working on getting it "hosted" somewhere, so it can be distributed to itunes and other podcast directories - and also getting it in "a studio" so I can get the discussion& interaction elements back.
EPISIDE 3 This week: http://www.spreaker.com/page#!/user/ian ... gistration * Dual Registration - what the Championship say. * Skolars coach Joe Mbu on pre-season and dual-reg * The University of Gloucestershire All Golds have a good week, as one of their teams wins a national title. * Broncos assitant coach Ben Fisher on the season so far. * Daisnaid founder, on the "send-off" game involving London RL staff, this weekend.
EMAIL I've now got a dedicated email address, for you comments, thoughts and suggestions. Although not featured this week, I'm keen to have a fan's view on the programme each week, so please email me if this is something you'd be interested in.
Thanks once again.
Rammo
