Soward... : Fri Sep 06, 2013 11:17 am
Would contemplate a return to London (if we still exist) at the end of his 4 yr Penrith contract....

And is aiming to bring Dixon over to Penrith in the future. I'd say, if Dixon was to leave London.... he'd be better heading to the NRL than a northern SL team.

Soward has been a London legend in his short spell.... all the best.

Re: Soward... : Fri Sep 06, 2013 4:29 pm
His influence on the team in his short stay has been massive. For me his will to win is as big a Glower's ever was, but he's been able to galvanise the squad not divide it. The reaction since the Wigan debacle from this team, led by Jamie, has been exceptional. We now look like a proper footy team - working for each other, tackling with commitment, attacking with a plan and enough patience to actually build pressure through possession and field position.
The great unwashed fans Oop North thought he would cut and run when we failed to reach Wembley, but he has just stepped up several notches and took the squad with him. He cares so much he gets sin binned at Bradford for kicking the ball off the tee after arguing with the ref for over a minute!
We've been privileged in seeing some great Aussies here over the years but in his short stay Jamie has surpassed them all in making his mark here.

Nicely put and I wholeheartedly agree.

Life is pretty simple: You do stuff. Most fails. Some works. You do more of what works.

Exactly. I maintain my view that if Soward had been our half instead of Gower for the last two years, we might have been in a significantly different position.

Re: Soward... : Sat Sep 07, 2013 9:24 am
Jamie Soward took us back to the days of The Legends, that wore our Club Shirt, like Steele Retchless, just wish he had joined us earlier in the season, me made such a difference in his own high playing standard, but also the organization he brought to the team on the pitch, problems that all season had continued and never corrected until the arrival of Jamie. I wish him every success at Penrith, he deserves it, will never forget him.

If any young player is not a home boy! I would say take up the offer to go to the NRL for experience, or sadly Union! our game is going backwards, even on the pitch. Watching the NRL game yesterday morning, it was so much faster and exciting. In the recent Saints v Warrington game, for ten minutes every time the ball was kicked it was straight dead! you didn't see that yesterday, play the ball is so much faster!

Why not a chance to play for your Country and Twickenham, or our Mickey Mouse Internationals? :D
