Maybe Wigan only sell their tops for the SL rounds then sell again for the playoff.

They had a different sponsor for the challenge cup final as well

Wigan had to quickly organise a new Wembley shirt sponsor since the deal they had with Applicado Cheer, went out of business. Dave Whelan's company DW Sports Fitness stepped in very late for a one off sponsorship. So no real plus for Wigan and sponsorship really!

We went 20 games with no sponsor......not one! Wigan managed to fill a shirt in a matter of 10 days......I don't care if it was for free or if they loving paid someone....they didn't have a black t-shirt as their official professional RL clubs gear.

I think I could say the same about you, if you know anything about marketing, which would you select London Broncos or Wigan Warriors? a no brainer, however loyal I am to one of the clubs.

My response, if you read it again, was to state the facts that the only reason Wigan had a new sponsor was the previous one went out of business, Dave Wheland sponsored them for the Challenge Cup and then they got a new one for games after. It was not knocking them or praising them.

We had a good sponsor this year in SELCO, the past is that, the past! SELCO worked hard promoting the association with us and their sponsorship.

Animalates is also the shirt sponsor for Oxford United this season, again of course owned by Ian Lenegan

Depends what it was I wanted to achieve.....I wouldn't base my decision purely on the numbers of one clubs set of fans, but on a massive list of requirements I needed filling.

Not only were you knocking them, you did so in the context of me having compared their quick turn around in finding a new name for their shirts with the efforts of the Broncos in getting anything on their shirts...we had a black T-shirt as a strip for most of our first year back as the Broncos.......Wigan had a gap and filled it instantly...something you described as "no real plus for Wigan"

Hard for me to judge this statement having not been there, but I'd love to see exactly how much cash changed hands.
