The scenario that the Broncos are in must be the most farcical in sport. Players leave, the fans are left to hang, are they waiting until no one cares anymore?

No group of fans have ever been treated so shabbily in the history of RL. We see all the great rugby played in the RLWC and weep for the state of our club.

Even Samuel Beckett could not have imagined such a dismal situation.

Those of us who supported Prescot Panthers can top that. The Rugby League Council on 3rd December 1997 authorised a payment of about 30k on condition the club withdrew from all competitions. The RFL have been actively trying to save London.

If London is key to national development, sponsors or broadcasters, then simply put, give them the assurances they want. If London isn't key, then say so and let the club prepare for life down the food chain.

Next Monday is the start of Pre-season training for most SL clubs....

No decision will be made until after The World Cup, though they were quick to approve the take over of Bradford and to give the licence to the new owners again!

Farce yesterday reading the owner of "League Weekly" Danny, defend Nigel and Hetherington and say what a disgrace the six clubs who walked out are! what backing is he getting from Nigel for his support? The game is in a total mess and the position of a few at the top of The RFL their positions must now be untenable, but no they will hope the world cup will allow them to ride the fight they face. Most letters in the rugby media yesterday support Leneghan.

Crusaders fans were treated worse. The club took their money for season tickets and then promptly moved the club three hours up the road. The fans got their money back eventually but they had to wait about four months to get it.

One thing for sure LB will not be getting my season ticket money this year and first time in 10 years plus. If there is a team next year I will be reserving the right to pick and choose which games I will be attending.

If we exist there will be a new owner our own home with a new vision and attitude hopefully towards the fans. Exactly what people have been calling for for years. Great respose!

I will be going to watch the local amateur team instead. Should we end up at the Hive; games that I attend will be based on going to watch a team for which I have had a passing affiliation with prior to moving south many years ago. For me the last straw will be broken if the so called rumours relating to exemption of relegation and overseas players are proved correct. In my opinion Gus and DH have killed LB dead and are doing a lot of damage to the wider family of RL in the south.
