Now here's another thing where the Broncos have dropped a big hairy one! For crying out loud not only was he one of our best players in recent times be he was a really smart , media savvy bloke. He'd have been great for promoting the Broncos - who knows if his kids fitness thing will take off here but we could have got in on it with him! For a supposedly smart businessman DH misses out on another promotional opportunity! Marty says he's looking forward to seeing some old faces - good luck with that mate! The numbers are dropping by the week!

Just a quick Marty PS, don't know if anyone from LBSA is going to the game and might get a chance to catch up with him, and I don't know how often he gets over to these shores, but wouldn't he make a great Heritage Day guest? Or Hall of Famer?

He certainly deserves to be in the Hall of Fame. Great player. A real stand out. Had a great attitude. Something we need today.
I did not think it was that long since he played for us.

Great Great player - always gave his all, and as previously stated clever. media savvy, a real professional. Mclinden, Dorn, Leauluia - now that was a team.................................

You're all right he was a great player and a great bloke too. When we did the Hall of Fame we wanted to span all eras and so Marty narrowly missed out. Its not all over though of course. We added Tony Rea this year, will probably add more next year and we're working on some ambitious plans for 2017.
That last red shirt Broncos team was a real pleasure to watch!

Wasn't it just. My only regret was that I didn't get to every home game that season, mainly due to my kids sports commitments - one example I remember was watching my daughter playing hockey in a blizzard while Broncos were beating Wakefield 72-8 in similar conditions!

I remember that game. Who could forget it. It was bitterly cold. The away fans stood in the open if I remember correctly and were they not the ones that always came in fancy dress.

Indeed. I remember the wakey game well.....I said at half time that more of the same would be nice in the 2nd half and IIRC we did them 36-4...same as the first!
This has a prominent position on the wall of my bar at home.
