Ladbrokes Challenge Cup round 4 : Mon Feb 26, 2018 10:18 pm  

We enter the Challenge Cup in this round. Hendo is taking part in the draw, which will be held on 27th Feb at 7pm.
I wonder if we will take it seriously this season. For the last couple of years we have simply rolled over.
All I want to get is a home draw, not bothered against who.

I was only thinking about the Toronto game last year when they beat us. That Toronto team was better than the team we beat on Sunday.

The Toronto team last year was not that different to the team tat turned out last Sunday in respect of there supposed talent. We however are much weaker in theory than last seasons match up!
As for taking the CC seriously, I have been a rugby league fan for over 50 years and used to be a regular at Wembley, since the new seeding system the competition has lost its appeal, we ain’t going to make the final or highly unlikely semi finals, I actually don’t give a hoot about the comp anymore.
I suspect the clubs in the middle order probably take a similar view, they might get a money making draw against a bigger club, but it’s more of a distraction when the target is middle 8 and super league

I'd like to rotatate the squad a little (not a lot), but give a few players a rest. For instance play Api and Meadows together and give Sammut a breather, also give channing a game and maybe one of the younger wingers.

you're not over 50 stop exaggerating !

The CC final has lost its appeal as there are many more options for fans now including Catalans, Grand final, Magic weekend.....

Jossy I said in theory, yes we lost 2 key players, we also lost junior and recruited very few and no big names.
Our coach is untried and untested so yep on paper we are a weaker team than the one that faced Toronto a year ago, it’s nice to see that so far we are proving the doubters wrong.
CC sparkle has nothing to do with magic or Catalans for me, yep grand final is an event, the stepped entry seeding has killed it for me.
