After another season of failure and non progress, I think its time that the club seriously starts to consider the future of McDermott. The team don't seem motivated at all, and McDermott has hardly been instilling any of his qualities as a player into any of them. Our defence has been woeful and a couple of NRL journeymen won't exactly remedy the situtation. We look lost in attack most of the time and Hill has been carrying the side. Nobody else has a clue, and I blame the coach for this. I would consider trying to lure Terry Matterson back to the capital, as I think he would do a fantastic job and turn the side around.

Thoughts?

just one.....stay off the sherry when mummy's out

think I'm quite well known for having a go at various coach's over the past 25plus years years but this idea of sacking MacD is really out of this world and I for one would never support it.

I had a go at TR for many seasons because his attitude and greed cost us Shaun Edwards as a coach and thereby our gtame lost a top coach to the other code. My other grip was that TR had no formal RL coaching qualifications and worse still he never attempted to obtain any either.

In BM we have a qualified coach who has had to work hard with a below average budget yet has been able to really develop a flow of local players which in the coming years will see QRL start to consolidate in the top six every season.......and once we increase the fan base to the level of the top 'traditional' flat cap clubs we will be scoping the silverware like they now do.

Finally while it would have been nice to see Terry M back in town think it is unfair to consider him in light of his excellent work at The Jungle. He should have become our coach six years ago and that would have saved us from that idiot T 'Teflon' R.......

Perhap's the original post was the normal 'silly' end of season punt but sorry it's unacceptable even if it was intended as a 'joke'...... :P :P

Really? would never have noticed..........................so your idea of a forum is that you can write whatever rubbish you wish to, but others can't? how odd.

Even the brain injured "Changa" wouldn't go back 11 months to find a post.

Good effort for finding it though. 3000 odd posts later. How long did it take?
